2009's Christmas card for my family, featuring my two children dressed up as though for a Christmas pageant. My older daughter is the shepherd (in very stylish lavender and pink clothes), while my baby girl gets to be the sheep (with cotton balls adhered to her pjs and hat).
I originally thought of doing this digitally, but ran out of time (heh, it's already late). Hence the traditional work. I used my wide assortment of colored pencils on the smoothest paper I could find in hopes of thwarting my scanner's overly efficient knack for finding all the white spaces between the pencil strokes. It mostly worked, and some levels adjustment in Photoshop largely fixed the rest. I really need to get a better scanner.
TD: drawing pens and colored pencils on printer paper; approx. 2 hours total.
