This is a piece I was commissioned to draw for a girl who visited my art table at Anime Expo. She wanted a romantic picture of Inuyasha and Kagome, and this is what came out of it. Pity the scan doesn't do the pencils justice, even with some of the tweaking I can do to improve the picture. ::sigh:: Oh well.
I'm getting better at using the colored pencils for nice effects. ^_^ And would you believe these are simple Crayolas from Wal-Mart? I'm too broke to buy myself nice Prismacolors. ::whimper:: No thanks to the scanner, though, some of the more subtle shading on both characters' hair was lost.
TD: mechanical pencil and Staedtler pens on sketchbook paper, Crayola colored pencils (36-count box, for those who care). Approx. 5 hours.
oh my! Wow this is really good! lol if that's what someone can do with Crayola pencils from wal-mart... i guess my horrible pictures colored by colored pencils might turn out well, allthough you can't see if cuz i don't have a stupid scanner yet, but i'm so rambling....lol sorry! Nice picture, I love Inuyasha's face! AWWW! so cute! (i'll stop now..lol)

thank you very much. ^_^ You can actually do quite a bit with cheap-o materials if you put your mind to it and use some creativity. I look forward to seeing your stuff.

I finally bought myself some prismacolor pencils... but the problem is if I have no talent with the crayolas, the prismas won't help.. haha. This is so adorable, and very romantic. *Sigh* Beautifully done! If you have talent, which you soooo do, then it doesn't matter WHAT you use, it's going to come out beautiful.
