Wedding Picture

My mom asked me to draw a picture of my fiance and myself to be framed and displayed at our wedding reception in New York. The only references I used for this picture are from memory, since I didn't have time to have my fiance pose for me in his suit. The dress pictured is about as exact as I can get a representation of it, and is essentially what my wedding dress looks like (the veil and jewelry likewise). And that is what I look like when I draw myself (not in detailed portrait fashion).

I rather like how it came out, especially the color layering on the hair. Done using the same techniques as the recent Inuyasha commission, except I used other brand pencils as well (RoseArt, Berol, and Kodak, along with the Crayolas and a few no-name brands). I still stand by my assertation that RoseArts are sucky pencils, though they've got some good color shades to them.

TD: mechanical pencil and Staedtler pens on sketchbook paper, colored pencils of varying brands. Approx. 4 hours.
